Their reputation is built on quality construction and comfort. The Serta Elevated Diamond Coil air bed provides that and more. Although priced at the higher end of the queen air mattress price range, the four star rating from reviewers at Amazon adds credence to the outstanding features of this air bed. The unique coil construction provides soft comfort for aching backs. The built-in electric air pump inflates and deflates the portable mattress within minutes. The sturdiness and height of this queen air bed are rivaled by few competitors. If you have temporary guests that you want to experience the ultimate in inflatable comfort, then you'll want to get this air bed for those occasions.

The dimensions of this bed are 80 inches by 60 inches by 18 inches. Futon Mattress Uses

A futon mattress can not only be used to place on futons, but it can also be used in so many ways. So many people find themselves with a broken futon frame and an empty mattress. 2) Play area - A good way to reuse futon mattresses are to set them up in the children's play area. Almost everyone has heard of the Sleep Number (Select Comfort) Bed.

But fewer people, it seems, have heard of Comfortaire.

The Comfortaire bed is just like the Sleep Number bed in many ways. They both use air as the main supporting feature - instead of innersprings, water, memory foam, etc. And they both have adjustable firmness at the push of a button. More air in the mattress means more firmness, and vice versa.

Is Comfortaire better, worse or the same as Sleep Number?

To find this answer, among many others, I recently spent at least 250 hours going through almost 50 online forums, message boards, consumer websites, etc. gathering data from at least 1,600 people on what they think of their mattresses. Below are some of my findings on Sleep Number and Comfortaire.

Which is more comfortable?

Both beds rate highly in regard to comfort compared to other mattresses, according to my research. However, 90% of Comfortaire owners find their bed comfortable, while 70% of Sleep Number owners find their bed comfortable.

Which is more affordable?

Prices for the Sleep Number bed range generally from under ,000 to nearly ,000. Prices for Comfortaire beds are usually less, and range from under ,000 to over ,000.

Which seems to have better quality?

According to my research, about 8% of both Sleep Number and Comfortaire owners said that they view their bed as being of poor quality. However, 4% of Sleep Number owners said that they think their bed is good quality, while 17% of Comfortaire owners said they think their bed is good quality.

So what's the bottom line?

While the Sleep Number (Select Comfort) bed has many satisfied customers, Comfortaire seems to currently beat Sleep Number in some important ways, according to my research.

How to Clean and Dry Foam Mattress?

Twice a year, spend some time cleaning your foam mattress. Even those that look clean may actually be a breeding ground for unseen mattress threats like germs and bacteria. You can cut down your cleaning work if you will spend a bit of time two times a year for mattress maintenance.

There are a couple of ways to clean your mattress and that depends on your mattress problems. If your mattress has mold problems, the most effective way to do that is through the vinegar method. What you need to do is mix a cup of white vinegar with 4 cups of clean water. You can either put this in a spray bottle and spray the surface of the mattress or you can soak clean towel and dampen the mattress using the towel. Either way, the mattress will absorb the vinegar solution and this will help remove molds.

If hard to remove stain like blood stain is your problem, you can try hydrogen peroxide. Place it on the area affected and top it with table salt. After some minutes stains will be extracted and absorbed by the salt which will make it easier to get rid of. Just remember not to subject your foam mattress with vigorous rubbing as this will only damage the fibers of the mattress thereby making stains harder to get rid of.

Baking soda spread on top of the mattress will help remove any foul odor. Just leave the powder there for an hour or so to help neutralize any mattress odor.

Dry Your Mattress
It is imperative to keep your mattress as dry as possible. Your cleaning methods should use minimal liquid. Soaking the mattress through will give you a hard time drying the inside. This will lead to mold formation.

One trick to drying is to use absorbent towel. Press this gently on the surface of the mattress to remove excess moisture. Afterwards, you can sprinkle baking soda. This too helps absorb moisture. In this way, you can get rid of mattress wetness.

You can also use your hair dryer and blast the mattress with its heat. If you are using memory foam, use the lowest heat settings as high heat can damage the foam of the mattress. If you have electric fan at home, you can also use this to dry your bed.

The most effective way of drying is to leave it in an air room or sunny place to dry. The heat from the sun can dry up wet mattress in no time.

If you are looking for information on the pros and cons of latex mattresses, you've come to the right place.

My research team has collected data from over 100 latex bed owners, including what the owners like and don't like about the mattresses.

Advantages

The first and primary advantage of latex mattresses is that they are comfortable. In fact, over 85% of the owners find their bed to be comfortable. By comparison, beds that are primarily made of memory foam, air or water score around 80%, according to our related research. And innerspring mattresses only score about 60%.

In addition, the beds are generally considered durable by their owners. However, there are a few instances of premature sagging. Off gassing and sleeping hot both tend to not be a major issue.

Disadvantages

The main disadvantage of latex beds is that they are generally expensive. Expect to pay a couple thousand dollars for a quality latex mattress. It is not clear if prices will come down in the future.

The other disadvantage is that the mattresses don't have much of a track record, at least in the United States. If you've done research online you probably have not found much quality information on latex beds, at least compared to what is available regarding innerspring beds, memory foam beds and air beds.

This means that if you buy a latex mattress, you should consider yourself to be a bit of an early adopter or pioneer since not too many people to date have bought a latex mattress, at least in relation to the other mattress types.

In fairness to these three brands, they are known to have exceptional manufacturing standards. Sealy, especially, is known for their durable mattresses that can withstand wears and tears.

Also, it is important to note that firmer mattresses are more expensive. The technology used in this is a meticulous one that involves a lot of process making it more costly. If you decide to get this type of mattress, make sure it has a good warranty. Warranty claims will assure you that you can still get your money's worth from the mattress should you find it faulty.

So you see, it is not just about choosing between Sealy, Serta and Simmons. It is also about making certain it is the right mattress for your comfort needs. So before choosing between these brands, figure out what you want too see and feel in a mattress first.
